Founder and Director
The Grand Prix was founded by Borko Radivojević, accordionist, composer and producer, and founder of the Balkan Music Academy. He has devoted more than three decades to the instrument, and recent years to preserving and promoting the music of the region by passing on what he has learned.
My goal is to open new perspectives: to establish the accordion on the map of respected international music competitions, to give young artists steady support as they make their name on the international music scene, and also to preserve the folk music of the Balkans and to keep it alive.

Total prize fund · €50,000
Each category has its own prizes, listed in full on the category page.
The winner of each category also records at BR Music Studio in Belgrade, with travel and accommodation provided by the organiser.
The recording
Before the official recording, the camera, microphone and connection speed may be checked as often as required. A short pause is requested only after many consecutive tests.
As on a concert stage, once the official recording begins there is no repetition. The rule is the same for every participant.
3 categories, each with its own programme requirements. Participants select the category in which they compete.
